The Universitat Politècnica de València (es: Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, en: Polytechnic University of Valencia) serves as the host university for my study abroad program in Valencia, Spain through the University Study Abroad Consortium (USAC).
UPV is known as one of the most prestigious universities in Spain, serving as one of the leaders in the fields of Engineering, Technology, and Natural Sciences (ranked in the world’s top 200 universities).
During my time here in Spain, I am enrolled in a total of 17 degree-applicable credits:
• General Chemistry II Lecture and Laboratory (4 credits)
• Spanish Track II (Intermediate Spanish I & II, Spanish Composition I) (9 credits)
• Spanish Conversation and Oral Skills (3 credits)
• Spanish Cuisine and the Mediterranean Diet (1 credit)
It may seem like a lot of work, however, it is completely manageable with the proper discipline. While I spend most of my time in school during the weekends, I have time to travel and explore the city during the weekends. Sometimes even travel to other European countries for a weekend trip with friends. This is what a typical week looks life for me:
I hope that this quick blog post helped you in any way in deciding whether study abroad is the right choice for you!
